Koller Auctions will hold a traditional autumn auction between 23-25 September 2020, and will present a large collection of books and manuscripts, porcelain, furniture, carpets, Old Masters paintings and drawings and works of artists of the XIXth century, as well as rare XVIth century European armour from a private collection in Lucerne.
Schuler Auktionen will put up for sale rare works of European artists of the XVII-XX centuries between the 14-18 September 2020. Among the works for sale will be a unique find from the XVIIth century - a genre scene of Dutch painter Jacob Duck discovered 80 years after a black-and-white photograph of the piece was found.
On 1 July 2020 Piguet Auction House in Geneva will put up works of European artists from the 17-20th centuries as part of their summer sale. The highlights include a “Pigeon” sculpture lamp by François-Xavier Lalanne, a playful genre scene showing the 18th century Tuscany by Raffaello Sorbi (1844-1931), two works by the Swiss avant-garde artist Alice Bailly (1872-1938), “Jeune fille à l'ombrelle sur la terrasse” by the impressionist Henri Baptiste Lebasque (1865-1937), an etude to “Le 10ème de Muharram” by the Italian Orientalist Fausto Zonaro (1854-1929) and a unique discovery of paired paintings by Pierre Louis De la Rive (1753-1817).
In the period between the 19th and 29th of June, 2020, Genevan auction house Piguet will be holding an online auction on Piguet.com. Between the 30th of June and the 2nd of July, a traditional auction will be held in the saleroom, which will also allow for remote participation. For the upcoming auction, Piguet will put up a large variety of rare fine art jewellery articles from Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron, Cartier, Swiss watches, as well as leather handbags from leading designer brands.
The upcoming summer auction at Schuler Auktionen will feature a few rare works by prominent European artists from different periods – Adriaen Hendriksz Verboom, Eugen Bracht, Maurice Utrillo, Jan Cybis, Martin Disler, as well as an extensive collection of paintings representing the art of various European schools from the XVII-XX centuries.
The upcoming sale at Schuler Auktionen is offering a rare early artwork by Natalia Goncharova, who was a central figure in Russian avant-garde art. Another highlight is Goncharova’s projet d'illustration for the poem of Sergei Bobrov “Le Pacte” from his first book published in 1913 in only 500 copies. The auction will also feature decorative arts including Fabergé and a series of XVIII-XIX century icons.
On March 23 and during the period from 25 to 27 March 2020 Schuler Auktionen in Zurich will be hosting a traditional spring auction and presenting works by European painters from the XV-XIXth centuries. Among the highlights is an extensive series of religious paintings with strong provenance, landscapes and still life art.
