Iconic bags and watches in the Piguet auction on December 12th, 2019 in Geneva


During the period from the 1st to the 9th of December, Geneva auction house Piguet will be holding an online auction, where they will present watches and leather articles of renowned luxury brands. A traditional auction will be held on December 12th, 2019, where top lots from the winter sales collection will be sold at the clack of the gavel.

The Piguet auction house carries out delivery of purchased lots around the world.

Rolex, Day-Date, automatic watch, c. 1986. Diameter 35 mm (estimated at 15,000 – 20,000 CHF), 27 stones. Baton markers, luminiscent hands and indexes, textured silver dial, week day display in French, date display, subdial, fluted bezel. The guarantee card mentions the date of purchase 28/02/1986, the service card of Rolex mentions the date of latest examination 13/02/2019. Comes with a box.

Cartier, Pasha, automatic watch, 1989 (estimated at 6,000 – 8,000 CHF), 25 stones, black colour Arabic numerals, luminiscent hands, diameter 35 mm, weight 155 gr. Date of purchase 16/03/1990. Two additional Crtier leather straps (yellow and green). Comes with a box.

The first waterproof watch by Cartier was created by order of the pasha of Marrakesh. This model was commercialised in 1940-s.
