An important kovsh by Vladimir Morozov (supplier of the Imperial court) will be presented for auction, St. Petersburg, beginning of the XX century (estimated at 30,000 – 50,000 CHF), adorned with flower and curled leaf friezes and cabochon stones. The embossed handle is executed in the shape of the Imperial eagle. Length 55 cm, height 30,5 cm. Weight 2520 gr.

Provenance:

  • Maritime Alps, André de Joly (1857-1934). Was passed down to descendants as inheritance to present day.

Six lovely silver bear figures attributed to Fabergé, XX century (estimated at 15,000 – 20,000 CHF), each in a different natural position, becoming stirrup cups when flipped upside down. This work stands out due to the realistic and detailed execution.

The van der Broek d’Obrenan family received wide acclaim thanks to their scientific expedition in the "La Korrigane" ship (1934-1936). The ship completed an anthropological expedition around the world, bringing back a truly ethnographic collection of art from as far away as islands in the Pacific all the way to France. Charles and Régine Van Den Broek d’Obrenan are among the 5 members of the expedition aboard the Korrigane with a crew of 9 sailors. They offer part of their collection to the Museum of Man and the Louvre. The children of Charles and Régine continue to collect works of art for their home collection. The bear figures presented have remained in the family to this day.

  • Van den Broek d'Obrenan family collection. Following a family tradition, the bears were acquired in Switzerland in 1998.

A bronze sculpture "Voyevod, Boyarin Morozov" (estimated at 12,000 – 18,000 CHF), after Eugene Lanceray (1875-1946), mark on the base in cyrillic "modelled by E. Lancere", shows one of the most famous landowners of the XVII century.

Two carafes, Julius Rappoport for Fabergé, Russia, beginning of the XX century (estimated at 4,000 – 6,000 CHF), they have a conical shape and the glass is executed in geometric shapes and prisms, handle in the form of a spiral, St. Petersburg, 1899-1908.

Chalice and plate with cloisonne enamel, Grachev – supplier of the Imperial court (estimated at 3,000 – 5,000 CHF), engraved "AP" in cyrillic, decorated with stylized flowers and leaves, the edge is adorned with turquoise "pearls". The centre of the plate contains and the chalice collar contain the dedication engraving 'St Petersburg, Eugene Dupont, 1898'.
