The Piguet house sale 8 September 2019 in Lutry, Lausanne


The beginning of autumn starts for the Piguet with an auction in the sophisticated atmosphere of the house in Lutry nearby Lausanne. Totally 576 lots – during only one day the furnishings of the hall, lounge, cabinet, dining room, gallery, library, billiard room, swimming pool and garden will be offered for sale.

Among the highlights of the upcoming Lutry house sale is the painting from the lounge area executed in 1860 by a renown Swiss impressionist artist François Bocion (1828-1890) – "A bather and fishermen in Rivaz" (estimated at CHF 10,000-15,000).

A rare gilt bronze, crystal and rock crystal chandelier lighting in French Regence style end of XIX century (estimated at CHF 5 000-8 000) illuminates the main hall of the house and adds a soft shimmering to the area. Crystal parts made in various shapes – shells, cylinders, garlands, flowers and mascarons. Totally 12 lamps on two levels. Height 175 cm, diameter 124 cm.

On June 28th, 2019, the summer sale at Schuler Auktionen became an international news sensation.
