On June 16th, 2021, Karl & Faber is holding Old Masters and XIX century art auction, where will offer around 400 exceptional paintings and drawings. Among the top lots are genre scenes by Giovanni Piancastelli (1845-1926) showing Roman relocatees, splendid flower composition by a celebrated still-life Dutch master Nicolaes van Veerendael (1640-1691), impressive canvas “Andromeda” by John Roddam Spencer Stanhope (1929-1908) from Pre-Raphaelites, genre scene by Russian battle painter Pavel Kovalevsky (1843-1903). The auction part with drawings includes works by renaissance artists and Old Masters with a large collection by Albrecht Duerer (1471-1528) and Rembrandt (1606-1669).
The Hermann Historica upcoming online auction to be held from 21 to 25 June 2021 will feature exceptional antiquities with provenance from important European collections. Among the highlights is a large sandstone Chinese Guanyin sculpture, a set of 21 Late Roman and Early Byzantine Glass Vessels from the collection of the film producer and Oscar prize winner Arthur Cohn, an early Achaemenid bowl (5th century B.C.), and other collectibles.
