During the period from 31 January to 4 February, 2022, Hermann Historica will host the regular online auction and put up exclusive collectibles of European and Asian art, antiquities, an extensive collection of posters by Willi Engelhardt, and traditionally rare military antiques – body armour, uniform, helmets, military awards and decorations – in total 3689 lots.
From 13 to 17 of December 2021 Schuler Auktionen will host the traditional winter sale and will present a series of Russian art lots led by the genre crowd scene in a church, dated 1905, inspired by Russian fairy tales cloisonné decorative box in the form of an egg with a saucer featuring chicken legs, 1908-17, Pavel Ovchinnikov, and rare 17-19 century Russian icons.

8 and 9 December, 2021, Karl & Faber will offer rare XX century paintings, drawings, collages and lithographs. The sale will be lead by the selected works including a shimmering and pearly “Femme nue à sa toilette” by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, presumably showing the painter and Renoir’s mistress Suzanne Valadon, meditative abstract composition by Serge Poliakoff, iconic square in green and grey by Josef Albers, “Clown” by Paul Klee inspired by childhood emotions, as well as other outstanding works.

Russian art top lots feature “Russian Winter” by Vasily Sitnikov, a portrait of Sergei Rinkevich – the founder of the first school of electrical drive in the world by Alexander Samokhvalov, “Jericho” by Konstantin Gorbatov, “Two Women with Ducks” by David Burliuk, “Man in Hat” by Oleg Tselkov, porcelain figural mantle clock, Imperial Porcelain Factory, from the period of Nicholas I.
27 November, 2021, Hagelstam & Co. will traditionally host classic auction featuring paintings of the leading European, Chinese, and Russian artists, icons, decorative art, military uniform, orders, porcelain and much more – totally 473 lots. Among the top lots is an oil study by Albert Edelfelt portraying “Magdalene’s Head II” with strong provenance to one of his main paintings, “Horses” by Xu Beihong, who was the father of modern school of Chinese painting, mesmerizing landscape “Winter troika” Nikolai Sverchkov, a handy pocket triptych icon from 1880-s, exquisite tray by Franck Johan Enock/Nichols & Plincke, St. Petersburg 1846, who were granted a royal warrant to supply the imperial court of Nicholas I, a vodka cooler and 5 kovshes by Grachev Brothers from 1900-s, and Order of St. Vladimir from the end of the 19th century.
24 November, 2021, Karl & Faber will host a traditional Autumn auction of Old Master and 19th century art paintings. An extensive part of the sale is dedicated to the celebrated artists from the Munich school of painting. Among the top lots is “View of Elbrus” by the first apprentice of Ivan Aivazovsky – an honorary member of the Imperial Academy of Arts Lew Lagorio (1828-1905), “Fishing boats and sailing ships at sea” by Konstantinos Volanakis (1837–1907), a landscape of photographic accuracy “The abbey of Saint Ouen in Rouen” by Domenico Quaglio (1787–1837), rare works by Flemish and Dutch artists – “The Holy Family with four putti” by the teacher of Rubens Otto van Veen (1556–1629) and lush still life with symbolic meaning by Jan Mortel (1650 – 1719), as well as paintings by Carl Spitzweg (1808– 1885), Bruno Piglhein (1848– 1894) and other painters.
